Billy Joe Pyle III
Creative Director

Free spirit Billy Joe Pyle III (yes, that's his real name) brings over 15 years of design/advertising experience to Mint. And perhaps more importantly, 2 years "on tour" with the Grateful Dead. Prior to Mint, Billy Joe was at Gillespie, where he was Al's creative partner.

Here's one thing that Billy Joe really wants you to know about his creative philosophy: "I believe that clients who have a higher tolerance for risk generally see more of a reward. Don't be scared."

Billy Joe began his career at TG Advertising/ Communications in Clinton, New Jersey, working on packaging and inserts for Janssen, as well as brochures for Pfizer's Howmedica division. He learned the ropes of direct marketing and interactive at Devon Direct in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. From there, he freelanced at Tierney & Partners, TPG in Philadelphia, as well as Gillespie — which turned into a full-time job supervising a team of art directors and graphic artists. He has worked on some of the world's most prominent brands including British Telecom, Fleet Bank, IBM, and Westinghouse. Additionally, Billy Joe and Al teamed up to create the iconic "Twin Towers" memorial ad for the Port Authority in the wake of 9/11.

Billy Joe lives near the Delaware River in Upper Black Eddy, PA. He is an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and budding guitarist.
