IRA Campaign

Honda FCU is the credit union of the employees of Honda in the United States — with branches in Alabama, California, Indiana, Ohio, and South Carolina. They have worked with Mint for several years, after meeting us at a trade show. They approached Mint about injecting new life into their annual IRA push.

Mint showed a variety of creative approaches, including this one — a send up of all those “inspirational” posters showing people who have succeeded at something. Instead, we told a story of individuals who had failed to start an IRA earlier in their lives and who were dealing with the consequences.

This off-beat multi-media campaign resulted in an overwhelming response that beat projections. It was so successful that Honda chose to run a second generation of the campaign the following year.
